All these tracks were finished in the tight span of one year, between 2016 and 2017. They all came from a burst of uninhibited work, produced by a thirst for completion, a great need for just any type of closure, an extensive craving for fruition with the express purpose of filling one big hole.

After my father passed away, I was left with a lot to say for which I had no means to express. No voice to articulate, no words to write, no shouts to exclaim, no discharge, no vent. Everything was building up really fast and I needed an exhaust to blow the steam out. So I pushed myself into finishing some music. This was the only exercise I knew that could bring some temporary soothe in a sea of distress.

When you’re broken, as much as it hurts, you slowly reach out to pick the pieces up and try to put them back together. Coming from this point of view, I kind of pieced together every track from parts and elements of other pieces of music. Every track is made exclusively from audio samples chopped, diced and rearranged to fit back in musical form - whichever form reflected my bleak view over that distinct moment in time.

Overall, before looking at the big picture, I pushed for every sound to find its place, zooming in closer, focusing sharper, restraining my attention as much as possible. I always worked on one track at the time, taking as much time as it needed to reveal itself, sparing no energy expense for what that took me deeper into the tight arrangement sections and further away from the hardships of reality. And to my surprise, after one year eventually has passed, my heart felt slightly lighter, my vision slowly cleared, and I was able to look back. And this is what I found.

This ONE has been my MAD attempt at trying to SHOVE the sorrow away.
